Beauty Packaging magazine has once again assembled a panel of industry experts for a session at Luxe Pack New York. On May 19, the opening day of the prestige packaging show, Beauty Packaging will present a session at 4pm, titled, “Sustainable Packaging: Gearing Up for a Perfect Storm in the Beauty Industry.” A trio of experts will report on the latest advances in sustainable packaging and practices on all fronts. John Delfausse, vice president global package development and chief environmental officer, Estée Lauder Corporate Packaging, member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition—and member of Beauty Packaging’s Board of Advisors; Sandra Krasovec, associate professor in the Packaging Design Department, School of Art & Design, Fashion Institute of Technology, and who serves on the Ad Hoc Faculty Senate Committee on Sustainability and President’s Council on Sustainability; and Silvia Springolo, Client Service Officer for Grail Research, with the latest on consumers’ green buying behavior and what it means for consumer product companies, team up for a comprehensive overview and an insightful forecast.

The Luxe Pack session compliments Beauty Packaging’s upcoming April/May 2010 issue, which focuses on sustainability, and includes an in-depth feature article on the topic, as well as special reports by two members of Beauty Packaging’s Board of Advisors: John Delfausse of Estée Lauder and Maureen Kelly, CEO of Tarte Cosmetics.
